’07 NCAA Basketball Semi-Final

Posted on April 1 2007 by kevin

I accepted an invite from my friends Carissa and Ed to go watch the game at the clubhouse of Bellamy Grand apartments which Carissa’s cousin had reserved for the game. It was a nice, mellow crowd of about fifteen or so. The game started rather slowly but eventually the Gators began to pull away and had a nice lead going into halftime.

At the half, almost everyone decided to go play basketball at the indoor gym at Bellamy Grand. Considering I was the only person over six feet tall playing and I’m not certain how much basketball experience everyone else had…it was certainly going to be interesting.

We picked teams and started playing…I was just out for fun so I primarily comforted myself with passing the ball, helping the girls score, etc. I do have to admit that for giggles I pulled two crazy deep three pointers that I made. One from about twenty-four feet out and the other one from about thirty…the final shot leaving Carissa in disbelief. I also realized at the ripe, old age of thirty-three, I can still dunk a basketball…I was a bit shocked.

Back inside it was game time again and the Gators built a nice cushion before coasting to the win. All in all, an enjoyable event.

Apart from that, I will have a new, guest editor joining the blog staff to keep me on the straight and narrow shortly and I’ll also be posting photos of where I live, my offices, etc, etc in the next few days. I have to get that photo gallery back up and running! So check back soon.
I never thought I’d ever find myself saying this, but GO GATORS!
