Ok…before anyone who knew Emma’s Mom (the bird…I don’t have a kid) goes apeshit, this was a great setup/joke that got pulled on me by the better half. Anyhow, here is what happened…

…I was laying in bed with the girlfriend, having a serious (I know, hard to believe), adult conversation about ex’s. After talking about Courtney for a while, I moved onto another ex and was in the middle of that story, Amber interrupts in a completely serious voice, with the following statement, “I think Emma’s Mom cheated on you.”

I stopped in mid-sentence, shocked. Partly because I don’t feel Amber knew Courtney so that wasn’t fair and partly because I was like, “Do you really think so?”

As I tried to regroup, after about a five second silence, Amber busts out with, “I’m fairly certain she did, Emma looks nothing like you!”

Doh! This is what I get for dating someone with a sense of humor that equals mine. Awesome timing and delivery, she got me! So is there a resemblance or is someone else her Daddy? =)
