4/29/11 – 5/2/11 Deals Gap Rotary Rally

Went up to the mountains of North Carolina for the 2011 Deals Gap Rotary Rally. Imagine an 11 mile road with 320 turns, a bunch of rotary engine cars, even more rotary engine enthusiasts and mix. This is the recipe for a great time! My buddy Eddie and I headed up for the weekend and ...

4/16 Leaf

So I was headed over to Starke today to sell some RX7 parts. On the way, while hauling ass down 301, I experienced one of those odd, surreal moments. I watched a big Maple(?) leaf come from the other side of the road (a good 500ft) and slowly spinning 360's on the wind cross over ...

4/19 Downtown Arts Festival and Car Show

Hit the Spring Downtown Arts Festival in Gainesville. Was in a horrible mood due to stress from work and other sundry items. Didn't see much that impressed me however there was one gentleman who had some very interesting work. He was an Asian guy using traditional Asian imagery combined with mixed media such as oils ...

4/7/11 Nosebleed Friday

No idea why but had a massive nosebleed today. Last time I had a nosebleed that I can remember I was like 12 and was poking my sister Kim in the back of the head during a family road trip from North Carolina. Without looking, she back handed me and I had a nosebleed. Weird.

4/3/11 – Cedar Key Art Festival

So...despite living near Cedar Key, a small town located on the Gulf of Mexico, for 14 years, I've never been there. Apparently for quite some time, Cedar Key has hosted an annual art festival with a fairly decent juried prize. I had no idea what to expect so Lindsay and I headed over to check ...

3/26/11: March of Dimes Walk 2011

So...that time of year again. Where I become a de facto employee of the March of Dimes. Two days of lifting, walking, sun, moving, following orders...all for a good cause! Last year was my first event and damn...not enough volunteers showed and I was exhausted. This year was a bit more pleasant. We had TONS ...

3/19/11: 37th Birthday.

So...I guess I'm getting old? 37...wow. I have to admit, this hasn't been the best birthday. I fully expected about $20,000 in business this month and so far...zip. Yea it sucks. Really struggling at the moment and I hate the stress and lack of motivation a situation like this brings to me. I'm trying to ...

3/12/11-3/13/11 – Clearwater

So this past weekend went down to Clearwater with Lindsay to check out her brother Adam's new house. Adam's place interestingly enough is located just a few blocks from where I went to Middle School and may have been the house an old baby sitter used to live in. In my opinion, the house was ...

3/12/11 Saturday: Tsunami

It will be interesting to look back in a few years to understand the full repercussions of the terrible Tsunami that overwhelmed Japan this past week. While a 9.0 magnitude earthquake is bad enough, the massive wave of water that followed has caused an almost unheard of amount of damage and loss of life in ...

3/5/11: Saturday – Tim’s Birthday Lunch

After the events of Friday went well, I saw more of my family than I have in some time on Saturday. A big group of us went out for lunch at Cracker Barrel on Saturday to celebrate Tim's birthday. The double nickel...the big 55. We had a good time and it was a nice way ...
