I finally had the opportunity to see this movie over the weekend and all I can say is “wow”. I’m not really a movie person as in someone who cares about Academy Awards and achievements of that nature. Quite frankly I prefer funny movies (especially dumb, funny movies) and action/sci-fi/fantasy movies.

However, every now and then, a movie such as Slumdog Millionaire pops up and piques my interest. To avoid ruining the movie for any who haven’t seen it, the synopsis is this: On the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, a young man who grew up in the ghetto knows the answers to questions that even an educated person would have a difficult time with. Suspiscion grows that he is cheating and the movie is about how his life gave him the answers to each question.

All I can say is the story was excellent, the acting was excellent, the music was excellent, and there were even spots of humor as the life of the main character is followed. Once again…highly suggested!
