Our flight left at 3PM and our hotel was kicking us out early. So with a few hours to spare, it was time to just drive around the island. I have no idea where we were, I just drove. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip…just driving around and exploring. We drove through some modern cities and some areas that seemed a bit “behind”. It was beautiful when we made it into some of the more mountainous regions with the natural foliage, etc.

The plane trip back sucked. From PR to Ft. Lauderdale we had the plane from hell. Rude/Annoying guy to the left, coughing people behind us, crying baby, kid who was playing rap music on his laptop with no headphones in. Sucked so much ass.

We grabbed a connecting flight from Lauderdale to Orlando and then it was back to Ocala. Home safe home.

The trip was definitely an experience and I don’t know if I will ever “get” vacations. Perhaps it was the emotional stress of fighting with the person I had gone with but I can’t help but think that I would have rather spent the $800 on something else. Maybe it is just my practical side…I don’t know. It was beautiful and I’m happy I went…but at the same time it wasn’t amazing for me. Maybe I’m just to phlegmatic.
