Recently I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with a woman I dated for a little while several years ago. As with most people I’ve dated, we’ve stayed in touch and friendly and have been hanging out as of late. I remember one of our first dates was to go bowling (where she destroyed me) and she made the suggestion to do so again on Wednesday.

The evening started out promising…I rolled a 134 or 136 and took the first game handily. Then deja vu set in as my ass was kicked…badly in the two final games. Wow. I officially hate bowling…or maybe it’s just losing.

I also have to give thanks to my friend for taking care of me the next day on Thanksgiving. Apparently she felt bad for taking me behind the woodshed with our bowling excursion and was worried I wouldn’t be enjoying a good Thanksgiving. While not a self proclaimed cook, her parents are. I was treated to a take home box stuffed full of mashed potato’s, stuffing, incredible turkey, ham, and some wonderful pecan pie. The food was great but I was really touched that she’d take the time to box up some food for me knowing this was the first time in quite a while that I wasn’t spending the Holiday with someone. So thank you!
