Hit the Spring Downtown Arts Festival in Gainesville. Was in a horrible mood due to stress from work and other sundry items. Didn’t see much that impressed me however there was one gentleman who had some very interesting work. He was an Asian guy using traditional Asian imagery combined with mixed media such as oils and acrylics. Very nice.

I originally was going to skip the car show due to my mood but after walking around the Art Festival decided to go see my other friends who were there, in particular Mark and Eddie. The event was put on by UF’s Society for Engineers or something and it was a nice, small, local show. Eddie ended up winning Best of Show with his car and spawned a great joke. Apparently one of the judges (who was some dumbass kid) docked Eddie a few points for having “fake” carbon fiber. Considering that Eddie has some very nice, authentic, expensive pieces on his car this was even funnier to the rest of us. Nonetheless…a nice win.
