So…that time of year again. Where I become a de facto employee of the March of Dimes. Two days of lifting, walking, sun, moving, following orders…all for a good cause! Last year was my first event and damn…not enough volunteers showed and I was exhausted. This year was a bit more pleasant. We had TONS of volunteers so that although the work was hard it wasn’t ridiculous! I actually got sleep!

Some of the changes to this years walk included scaffolding donated by CROM Corporation that were used to display huge March of Dimes banners. This really gave the walk area a concert/party vibe and was fantastic advertisement. The day was beautiful and over 6,000 people turned up to walk! I’m not certain how much money was raised but from what I understand it was an increase over last year! Yay!

After the walk I saw a few clients and friends. The day ended with a dinner a Bonefish for the MoD employees and their significant others. Had a great conversation with the daughter of Lindsay’s boss and her husband. Made it home at a decent hour and got some sleep. Much better than the 2010 Walk!
