So the last few days have been an interesting mish-mash of culture. Sunday myself and the better half hit up the Thornebrook Village Art Festival. There were one or two items that caught my eye and she got a pair of orange and blue earrings out of the deal.

Over the last few years I realize I have slowly drifted away from something I value greatly…and that is giving back. Doing what I do for a living leads to plenty of opportunities to be a part of organizations I believe in and to help…which is in my nature. I’ve also come to realize with my involvement in the Toy Company, that at least some degree, I have strayed from certain aspects of who I am and what I value.

So…this weekend was the annual matchup between UF and Tennessee for 2009 and the Volunteers were coming to town. It was an odd weekend as generally one of my friends hosts the game at their house and we have a big party and no one was doing so. One of my dream cars has always been a 3rd Gen RX7 also known as the FD. Manufactured in the US from 1993-1995 they were sold in the rest of the world through 2002. One of the greatest sports cars ever, I’ve been looking to buy one as a reward to myself for some time.

I needed to hear that right now as I still am working through the remnants [...]

Had a great day yesterday, Rush came down to discuss a large project. I really want him to be a part of this but understand if he can’t. I’m going to try and get him the time he needs…let’s do this! Continued to strip down one of the RX7s today. Only engine, tranny, rear end, [...]

I almost started off this post by saying I have some weird habits. I the realized that was a bit like saying Alexander the Great wanted just a small bit of real estate or that Christopher Columbus was just off on a day cruise. I understand everyone has their inherent quirks but perhaps mine might [...]

So the final day of the cruise, there were no ports of call. Just chugging across the Atlantic from the Bahamas back to Port Canaveral. This meant all activities were taking place on the ship. For Trish and I, this meant (well mostly for me) food and time spent poolside reading in the sun. I [...]
